Fourth of July!

Mmmm, Independence Day. As a kid this was always my favorite holiday because it's right in the middle of summer. Today we celebrated by eating homemade ice cream and playing with sparklers. It was a great ending to a good day! A lot less stressful than yesterday to say the least! I've also been exploring 8tracks.com and I found this playlist. It's pretty much the best thing ever. :) I'll leave with that. Goodnight!

I haven't blogged in half a month. I feel ashamed! :( GoLa has been INSANE! But amazing. We have received so much positive energy from these kids, it's great!  I'm going to get back into the swing of things right now. We arrived in Moreauville late Friday night and Saturday we got to go visit Big Cane! That was great except I slept the day away. I've become obsessed with the country. Again. I'll be posting a LOT of pictures soon and I'm looking forward to it.
Also, I've come out of my two-year-long-but-not-so-obvious depression!! EXCITEMENT! I can now feel happiness again and it's amazing. So that's what my picture today shows :)

Gola in Nola

So this is New Orleans :) I'm in love. All the architecture was awesome. So many colors and just great stuff. It was fantastic. I saw Jackson Square for the first time and I'm in love.

June 8

So, night VBS keeps me INSANELY busy. Yesterday we got to go to the mall and I got three new shirts from Forever 21 (my favorite store) and some PURPLE shorts to match. We also tie-dyed shirts because we're going skating today :)

WOW

So we're finally at home and settled in Jefferson (New Orleans). We're all exhausted and the past two days have been CRAZAAAAY! We were just watching the news and I have to say we're sufficiently terrified. God is with us though. I broke my toe this morning and it is killing me. It doesn't look bad though. I miss Big Cane so much already but I'm glad to have a real bed and all that. :)
I know I'm slacking but it will be easier for the next two weeks because VBS is at night!! YES! :D

You guys, it's my last night in Big Cane. I'm so sad, and super busy. I think we're going ghost hunting. I'll be sure to document it. ;)

I haven't forgotten about my blog! Today is super busy and exciting and I will have some amazing pics to post when I'm done :)

Also, the nicest people just made me a malt, but there were nuts in it so my lips are swelling up! AHHHHH

Ah, first day of VBS!

Hey there! So today was the first day of VBS for us. It. Was. AWESOME. Besides having to get up at 7:35 AM, it was all good. I'm sitting on the porch of the house in this picture. Everything in this village is stuck in time and I love it. Currently just chatting and singing Justin Timberlake with one of my best friends ever :)
 

We took a walk to a beaver dam and it was so cool! It's only about half a mile down the road. It was cute.

Parker and I are looking at wedding pictures. We're just friends, I promise. But two brothers that I go to church with recently got married and they both had really caj~ weddings! I definitely have been inspired by them. If only I was getting married. I'll show you how cute they are tomorrow. Time to go swimming now :)
